    There is no regular FPA lunch meeting in February.  Join us at the CFA Society of Providence's Annual Forecast Dinner.  This is a CFA Society event and the fee for FPA members and partners to attend this dinner meeting is $40.


    Michael G. Trotsky, CFA, is the Executive Director and Chief Investment Officer of the Massachusetts Pension Reserves Investment Management (“PRIM”) Board, the entity responsible for investing the $67 billion Massachusetts pension fund, which contains the assets of the Massachusetts Teachers’ and State Employees’ Retirement Systems as well as the assets of approximately one hundred participating municipal and county retirement systems.

    An experienced estate planning attorney, Joseph is a frequent lecturer for the Boston Bar Association and the Rhode Island Bar Association on estate and long-term care planning issues and land conservation planning. His areas of practice include estate and income tax planning, business succession planning, land conservation planning, long-term care planning, probate and trust administration, special needs planning and real estate conveyancing.

    Joseph often counsels clients on estate and income tax savings techniques including the most tax efficient ways which to transfer wealth and family businesses through multiple family generations. He also helps families preserve assets through advance planning for their long-term care needs. He frequently represents trustees and banks in their service as fiduciaries in the settlement of complex estates and beneficiary disputes.

    Presented by Michael A. DiJoseph, CFA


    Michael is a Senior Advice Strategist in Vanguard’s Financial Advisor Services department. He is responsible for bringing Vanguard’s thought leadership and methodology to life through technology, content, and service offers. He also regularly acts as an ambassador for Vanguard, speaking at various client and other events including webcasts, podcasts, and media on a range of investment topics.

    Previously, he was an Investment Strategist in Vanguard’s Investment Strategy Group, where he published over 25 research papers and articles, primarily focusing on Advisor’s Alpha, Retirement Income, Investor Behavior, and Portfolio Strategy. Michael spent his first few years at Vanguard in a variety of fixed-income roles. Prior to joining Vanguard, he worked in the advice industry as an investment advisor. Mr. DiJoseph earned a B.S.B.A. in finance from Villanova University and is a CFA® Charterholder.
