As a subset of the Financial Planning Association, 'NexGen' is for individuals with 10 years or less of financial planning experience. As this younger generation (or career changers) may have different goals than more "seasoned" planners, it can be helpful to organize ourselves separately to focus on more appropriate topics. There are currently 33 NexGen chapters across the country and we are in the beginning stages of forming the Rhode Island chapter.
